The Mater Legacy Society

The Mater Legacy was founded in 1991 to acknowledge the commitment of the Stuart community to support the School through a planned giving program. Today, the Society's many members include parents, past parents, grandparents, faculty, staff alumnae, trustees and past trustees. Each of the Society's members has made Stuart a part of his or her estate planning. Once inducted into the Society, members receive a sterling mater pin, as well as invitations to special events.

Mater is a part of Stuart's legacy to the community. As Stuart, Mater stands out in strong black lines on the reception hall window. "Look outward, through the mother of us all," one can imagine Stuart's architect, Jean Labaut saying, as his art joined with the educational aims of the Society.

The School is very grateful to Mater Legacy members, whose generosity will help enable Stuart to carry out its mission well into the future.
